Owen Family Gathering in Full Swing

Planning is under way for Gatherings Sweepstakes winner Carol Owen. The Owen Family Gathering, Lost River Expedition, will be in Bowling Green, Ky., and will include visits to historic downtown and western Kentucky’s Lost River Cave.

"Logging on" led Carol Owen, of Portland, Tenn., to win a prepaid family gathering worth up to $5,000. The Owen family will be supplied a gathering site, dinner, invitations and postage, decorations, personalized T-shirts, an activity coordinator and a commemorative photograph of the event. The Owen Family Gathering, Lost River Expedition, is being made possible by gatherings.info, sponsored by Modern Woodmen of America.

"This family gathering will allow me to make closer contact with the family I might not have kept close to," said Owen. "My sisters and I keep in contact about once a month, and the other side of the family has a picnic every year."

The Owen Family Gathering will include a tour of Lost River Cave, a visit to the Shaker Museum at South Union and dinning at Bowling Green’s premier restaurant, 440 Main. A commemorative photo will be captured by Jon Payne Photography, Cottontown, Tenn.

"I think it is very important for kids to stay in contact with family. I hope this makes us all closer," Owen said.
